I know nothing about embroidery really, other than I used to enjoy doing it as a craft at my Grandma's house years ago when I was a kid. Just your description of making it and creating the pillow made me want to make pillows for friends and family for Christmas. From looking around briefly I can see you are a busy mom, but if you can help with a little more insight I would love to know - for example, did you draw the design on first in pencil? Do you use a hoop? Did you wash the fabric first? How many strands of floss? (You can see I'm telling the truth about my experience :)) I would also like to know more about the sewing, as you said that was sort of a new practice to you - was it easy to make this pillow? Thanks for any help/suggestions you can provide - either way, your project is simply beautiful.
