This pillow is lovely - I've just found your blog through one pretty thing, and I would love to know more about the stiches you used/directions on making this pillow. I know nothing about embroidery really, other than I used to enjoy doing it as a craft at my Grandma's house years ago when I was a kid. Just your description of making it and creating the pillow made me want to make pillows for friends and family for Christmas. From looking around briefly I can see you are a busy mom, but if you can help with a little more insight I would love to know - for example, did you draw the design on first in pencil? Do you use a hoop? Did you wash the fabric first? How many strands of floss? (You can see I'm telling the truth about my experience :)) I would also like to know more about the sewing, as you said that was sort of a new practice to you - was it easy to make this pillow? Thanks for any help/suggestions you can provide - either way, your project is simply beautiful.

holy cow! that doll is crazy!!!! naked and riding a ponie!

the pillow is lovely, it sounds like you inserted piping into the bias tape or did it come that way? the fabric you chose for the back is quite nice since it picks up the green floss you used as well as having flowers the same colors as the ones your stitched.
