My creative space is actually just a corner of a room that also serves as my husband’s office space and a play room for the children (and a guest room, in a pinch). But out of all the creative spaces I’ve had—and I’ve had quite a few over the years—this one is by far my favorite. Because I like it so much, I’ve decided it’s time we conducted a little “studio tour.” In conjunction with my participation in Kirsty’s My Creative Space project, I will share my space with you by displaying a photo or two each week and moving through the “studio” bit by bit.
For this week, let’s start with the big picture. Here is the whole shebang:
I love all the light that comes into the room, and I love being able to use such a large closet to hold all my goodies. It’s a very peaceful place, organized and (sometimes) clean, but chock full of things that inspire me to make some good messes! I’ve worked in it for three years now, so I’ve been able to tweak it to suit my needs and my working style. The things I use often are easy to reach, and everything has a place that makes sense to me. It definitely makes my creating times much smoother and more efficient (so important these days!), and being in an environment that feels so light-filled and pretty makes it that much better.
