Tutes of Christmas Past

Last weekend I got out all my Christmas decorations. Yesterday we had our traditional family tree-hunting party. The Nativity and nutcracker collections are in place, the evergreen scent is in the air, and we are officially in the holiday season. That means lots of things, including celebration and love and remembrance, but one thing it also means for many of us is gift-giving.

I love to give gifts, and I work hard to come up with things that are just right for each individual. Every so often, though, inspiration just does not strike, or the individual just really, really wants something more ambiguous, like cold, hard cash. For those few occasions, I like to put some extra time and personality into a gift card’s presentation to make it a little more special.

Last year I posted a tutorial for felt gift card holders. They worked out great for the cards we gave out last Christmas and have the bonus of being reusable. If you want to whip up a few for yourself, head on over to the tutorial and give it a try! (And don’t forget to post your results to my flickr group!)

I’ll be back on Monday with more crafty goodness!

Those are so cute. We don’t generally give out cards but my husband’s family gives loads of them. I will have to send them this link. Very clever you!
