What better way to ease back into blog world than by playing along with My Creative Space?
One of the projects I’ve been working on during this little break involves piles and piles of felt and a rainbow of thread colors.
What you see is the beginnings of felt play food for my daughter. (Though her birthday has come and gone, the party is yet to be.) I’m working on a few pieces each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—think pancakes with syrup, fruit snacks and sandwiches, tortellini and sauce. Mmmm! I have to say that I can understand why the serious felt food makers find it so addictive.
The most time-consuming part is really all the cutting out, but then you’ve got a neat little stack of pieces waiting to be sewn.
The sewing is simple, though a little tedious if you’re making a million pieces at once.
But then it’s so satisfying when it’s all cute and felt-y and finished.
I have to confess this may become a small obsession. I promise I’ll post more information, with links to tutorials and finished photos, when I’m done.
Now, who’s going to clean up this mess?
Swing over to Kirsty’s for a multitude of creative spaces!

Ooh…yummy! These are such fun, and you’re right—so satisfying to pull together. My girls have been begging for more goodies for their kitchen…must be time to pull out the felt!
