I’m a week late sharing this thanks to a left-behind camera, but I can finally tell you that the birthday dress turned out just right:

I used this tutorial and just added length to make a dress.

Here’s the best action shot I could muster up from the “quick take some pictures before running on the to the next thing” photo collection:

The birthday girl managed to make this mama quite satisfied by being exuberantly delighted with all of her hand made gifts. She received most of the gifts that I made prior to the real party action, and I assumed they’d be lost in the shuffle by the time the party was underway, but she dutifully carried them around to each guest as they arrived, saying, “Look at my new things!” (By the way, she named her doll Fly Ladybug.)

Post-party I used the same watercolor image from the party invitations to make up some simple thank you cards. I thought I might share the invitations and cards with you in case you felt the need to host an ice cream party of your own.

They’re all made to fit an 8.5″ x 11″ paper. The invitations are packed on there pretty tightly to get the most out of the available space, so cut carefully! Just click on the images below for downloadable PDFs.
