I’ve been trying to set aside time once a month to do a page or two of art journaling. For me this really amounts to doodling and writing notes about things that took place that month.
I’m hoping some day I might find the creative energy to take it a little further, but the idea for now is just to keep exercising the creative parts of my brain. I’d like to eventually journal more frequently, too, but given my track record as a horrible journaler, I think this is a fair start.
There are also a couple of wood blocks ready to be turned into stamp mounts. (Thanks to the Huz and our neighbor’s saw for turning some inexpensive unfinished blocks into mounts for me.) Can’t wait until I can show you these stamps!
Boogie on over to Kirsty’s for more creative spaces!

Your art journal is a great idea – I am terrible at recording things! Can’t wait to see your finished stamps but I guess that will be around Christmas….

written on August 25th, 2010, at 9:03 pmA journal is such a precious thing. I know, I’m terrible at sticking to it. I have a girlfriend who I envy…so good at writing down everything, it’s her way to relieve stress, mines running I guess. But, I like the relaxation of sitting by the fire and doodling my thoughts and ideas. In some way my blog provides that, but it really doesn’t compare to a book. Good luck with it…and looking forward to checking out those stamps!
written on August 25th, 2010, at 10:20 pmi’m with you, i find it so hard to stick with this kind of thing, but it would be wonderful to have a book filled with sketches and words

Fabulous idea. I should get back to journal-ing, but yes, time is the problem. Very excited about your rubber stamps – can’t wait to see what you’ve created :) Kx
written on August 26th, 2010, at 12:04 amI’m horrible at keeping any sort of journal. I’m amazed constantly that I’ve managed to keep up the blog for so long.
Also looking forward to seeing the stamps.

written on August 26th, 2010, at 6:51 amI’ve worked out the only way to eke anything journal-ish out of me is to write a blog. I’ll be back to check out those stamps, I will. Love a stamp, me.

written on August 26th, 2010, at 9:55 amHello, I am new to your blog. I found you by way of Myrtle and Eunice’s blog in the comments. You caught my eye because I love embroidery. Once on your site, I saw that you make your own rubber stamps. I love that! I would love to do that! I love your cloud stamps! Would you ever consider posting a tutorial on stamp making. Or have you already posted one in the past?
