A long while ago I made these little birdies and forgot to show them off here.
I used the Fat Sparrow pattern by The Paper Shed for the mama bird …
and Tania’s Easter chick pattern for the smaller fellow.
Both patterns are very easy to make; I highly recommend them. And I think the feathered friends look perfectly at home with our little pumpkin setup.
The kids and I also recently made a leaf garland out of colored paper and string.
We crumpled the paper to make it look more leaf-ish, and the four-year-old drew in the “veins” on each leaf. It was such a quick project, but I do think it’s added just the nicest little touch of Autumn to our living room. Autumnal pretty with minimal effort? Just my kind of thing!
Have a good weekend!
