I took these photos quite a few weeks ago, when I was in the midst of a baking flurry. There were homemade pop tarts and rolls and breads…. I’ve calmed down a little since then, but I’m still making bread whenever I need to–not for the lack of bread but for the grounding that comes when I mix and knead simple ingredients into something comforting and warm.
Oh my gosh, yes. I have been making our bread here too. I do it because it’s so much better than store bought, in taste and price. Can’t beat it. I love knowing there is bread rising on the shelf. Grounding, for sure. :)

written on July 5th, 2012, at 1:07 pmOh yes, I know what you mean – I love baking, there’s something so soothing about the making, then there’s all those warm delicious smells that make me feel like a domestic goddess and of course the end result. A triple whammy of good stuff. : )
