Along with that last-minute new baby gift, I needed a card. So the night before the gift-giving, I grabbed a pencil and some watercolors, and you see the result here. I added some special papers as background, and that was that. Simple and sweet.
The thought has crossed my mind that I might use this as a starting point for a series of simple printables that can be made into cards or scrapbooking embellishments, something of that sort. It may just be a fleeting idea, but I’m going to store it away for now and see what, if anything, comes of it down the road.
Motivation is still not terribly abundant at the moment, but, hey, I drew/painted something!

Lady, I reckon you’re waaaay too hard on yourself and the crafty output! Look at you! You’re doing it!
(you can tell I mean it by the amount of exclamation marks in this comment)…

written on October 26th, 2012, at 3:40 pmIt’s a beautiful card, Gretchen. I think that’s a great idea. Put it in your ‘ideas’ book and come back to it when you’re feeling craftier! :) Kx

That’s just lovely – I’m sure it will be truly treasured :)
It’s interesting how creating/making a gift can spark off some new ideas, even much further down the line!
