Keep Calm

Keep Calm (6)

One of the things that kept me moving at the speed of light last week: an embroidered coffee cuff. It was custom ordered for someone who likes the “Keep Calm” propaganda. I found several online programs that duplicate the font as well as possible (apparently the original posters were hand lettered), transferred it to the fabric, and … suddenly remembered how hard it is to stitch lettering! It was worth it in the end, though, if I do say so myself.

I’m finding myself hoping that this dusting-off of the needle might get me started back into embroidery a little bit. I have several patterns that have been languishing away because I haven’t had any interest in stitching up the samples. Time will tell….

    Really cute!

Also, love the stamp you were carving. I recently got a kit in the mail with two blanks and some lino cutters but haven’t had the chance to dig in and get carving yet… Maybe after the holidays. Merry Christmas!

Oh great job! I have that design on one of my cozies, but I went with the much fast screen printing option. I love the white on red and the 3Dness of the stitching. (Yes, 3Dness)
