Well, I feel sort of silly writing about Christmas a good week-plus into January, but in the interest of finally returning to this space and catching up a little, here it is anyway.
You may recall that every year I put together little boxes of goodies for our most special friends, and this year was no different. This year I made:
chocolate-dipped peppermint sticks,
caramel-almond popcorn (recipe here),
and chocolate-covered Oreos.
I totally and completely cheated on the Oreos. When I discovered that they already make a chocolate-covered variety, I skipped the hand-dipping and just bought them pre-made. Total cheat, but I did throw a little festive melted drizzle on top. That should count for something, shouldn’t it? (They were yummy, anyway.)
The goodies were packaged up with handmade ornaments (another thing I do every year), and they always seem to be a hit. Next post I’ll show you the ornaments, and then we can return to our regular it’s-not-Christmas-anymore January.

Looks great! And anything Oreo is always allowed. Hand dipped or store bought. :)

I am struggling to get back into the post holiday routine myself. Really, where does the time go?
Looking forward to seeing your ornaments!
