A couple weeks ago I announced on my Facebook page that when I reached 100 “likers” and 100 Etsy sales, I would have a Double 100 giveaway. That happened last weekend, woohoo! So while I’m away playing in the sand, the giveaway will be open to anyone and everyone (except family members, sorry) who would like to enter.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, and when I return from my trip I’ll do a random drawing. Comments will close on Sunday, June 19, and I’ll try my best to announce the winner on Monday, June 20.

So, what do you get? I thought since this is such a milestone-marking giveaway, I’d put together a collection of some of my favorite things.

These are all things that I love for one reason or another, and I hope you’ll love them too. I think they’re all pretty enough that even if you don’t have a use for them (you don’t sew, for example), you can still put them on display and enjoy them that way!

We have: a june at noon illustration of your choice, a set of 4 illustrated note cards, an embroidered patchwork pincushion (embroidery, linen, embroidery on linen, vintage sheeting—what’s not to love?), a set of decorative sewing pins, a crochet-covered stone from my garden in a little drawstring pouch, and a gently used copy of cloth paper scissors: studios (I love a peek into inspiring creative spaces).

I’m really excited to share some of my favorites and my bests with you! Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and support, friendship and patronage. I so enjoy this community, and the fact that I get to do what I love with all of you lovelies makes the icing on the cake! Here’s to another 100!

I’ve decided to take a sort of break from regular blogging for the month of July. Since habit is hosting a month of community participation in their flickr pool, I’m going to limit the majority of my July posts to playing along with that. I’ll be posting to the pool, but also here, on my regular Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule.

This temporary change should give me a little time off from the more involved, “thinking” posts as well as give me the chance to play with photography a little more. The exception will be if I do any shop updates; I’ll pop in to mention those, if they happen. (And don’t worry, there will still be plenty of crafty photos.)

I hope you’ll enjoy the change of pace, too. Back next month with more of the usual!

Habit: 7/2/10
We sat on the curb and watched our town’s rinky-dink parade. They loved the candy and the fire engines.

Hi, there! Welcome to my new home on the interwebs! (If you don’t know me from before, I am the blogger formerly known as Muddlepud.) After many, many hours of grumbling and hair-stressing, I have finally designed and coded my new site and will be publishing from here from now on. You may continue to see some minor tweaks to the site as I tidy up the construction dust, but the bulk of the work is done. I’m still checking the design out on various browsers and working toward full XHTML compatibility, so if you notice any major issues, please feel free to e-mail me with them. It will help me work out the bugs that much faster!

Anyway, however you found me–from my old site or if you’re brand new to me–I’m glad to have you here. I hope you’ll take some time to look around (check out my new “about” pages in the sidebar!) and maybe even share your thoughts in the comments if you see something you like.

And now, it’s back to the creative work for me. I’ll be back soon with a post that’s more on the crafty side!
