My creative space last night and today has been a-bustle with shop update preparations—finishing, packaging, photo shoots, photo sorting and editing, writing….

Do you ever find that in the process of doing one thing, you end up needing to do another? You know, you start with one project, realize you need a new something-or-other for function or display, and get spun off into a whole different project.

I’m still making baby blankets. I know everyone gets lots of baby blankets, but I don’t think the store-bought ones can beat a thick, squishy, soft hand made version.

I’ve got a few baby blankets to make for gifts, some belated, some imminent, so I’ve put away the embroidery for some crochet and knitting. Rather a nice change of pace. Also, it’s snowing bucket loads here today, so I don’t mind at all having a soft, thick blanket over my lap.
